Do you ever have those months where the most unlikely candidate you ever could have imagined wins the presidency, and your truck breaks down, and you get weird medical news…and then your website breaks?

Really? Me too!

So, to call November — and December, to be fair — a little jarring would be an understatement. I’m happily back on my feet at this point, and I’m ready to do some damage in 2017. Though by damage I just mean write more books and pet more dogs and, ideally, buy a house and get some chickens with my lovely partner, Ben. One of the saddest byproducts of my website crash, however, was the fact that I lost all the blog articles I’d written and stored on the jenblood.com website. So, I’m starting with a very literal clean slate in 2017. I’m very excited about the layout of the new site, which will ideally be a clean, easily navigable experience for readers. If you do find yourself frustrated by anything, however, I’d love it if you would drop me a line — I’m very open to feedback, and hoping with your help to make this a thoroughly user-friendly experience.

If you check out the Shop page, you’ll see that print copies of all my books are now for sale on the site. I’ll be running a weekly deal where you can get one of those books — or book packages — for a significantly reduced rate. Just watch the blog and my author Facebook page (http://facebook.com/jenbloodauthor/) for the latest deal. Because shipping outside the United States is so expensive, however, I unfortunately am not selling outside the U.S. at this time. All the books are available through Amazon, however, so overseas fans can get WAY better deals on shipping by ordering through them.

What else? I’ve got some new ideas for the newsletter, and a ton of plans that I’ll tell you all more about as the year progresses and those plans are a little more concrete. If you have suggestions for the newsletter — things that you liked in the past, things you aren’t interested in, things you wish I’d stop babbling about or, alternately, wish I’d babble more on — I’ll be sending out a survey with the next newsletter to ideally get some feedback from readers. You’ll see that next newsletter on Monday morning, just in time for the start of a brand new year.

And that, my friends, is just about everything for right now. I’ll do a round-up of 2016 on Monday here on the blog, but in the meantime just wanted to get something out there to let readers know I’m still here (!) and very excited about everything to come. Well… Okay, not everything. But lots of things. And certainly everything having to do with books and the wonderful world of fiction. I hope you all have a safe and happy new year, and I’ll see you again soon!
